Thank you for coming to our school an telling your story. It was very good, and i wanted to let you know that you reached a lot of people. I believe that what you are doing is what you were meant to do. Decisions do change a lot of things. Your sisters decision caused her, her life, but it made yours what it is today, which i think is pretty awesome. Your sister did not die for nothing. I know after i heard your story I am NOT speeding like usual. lol. I guess the speed limit is there for a reason and I should obey it, and so should others. Your work is amazing because even if you do only reach two people with your story, those people are so touched that they will tell others and your story will reach millions, if not already, which im sure it has. Thank you for your time and courage to do what you do today and for saving lives im sure.

Cara,
It has taken me a while to get to you to let you know a few things. I was at the York County Tabb High assembly when you came to speak to us. My name is Rikki and I am a senior. You began your speech having us all close our eyes and picture the person who means most to us. I pictured Randi my sister Randi. Listening to the car wreck and imagining that happening to her hit home. Then you started on your speech about older siblings and how you always look up to them. Randi is my older sister, by one minute. We are identical twins. 3 years ago, she almost died. In a serious state of depression, she overdosed and 60 some odd pills, throwing her into hallucinations and many other side effects. She was sent away to a psychiatric facility for over a week, leaving me with the feeling as if I could have really lost her. Well, I don’t know if you saw but there were two girls, 18 years old, who went running out of the auditorium right after you told us Mairin was your twin sister. Well those two girls were me and Randi. We met in the hallway, holding each other and crying. The speech you gave really hit home and I just wanted to let you know that you are a wonderful person. I just recently had the courage to talk to a close friend about the day that I almost lost Randi. She is doing well now, a professional singer to my professional dancer at Busch Gardens. Every day that I see her smile makes me realize how lucky we both are. Thank you so much for everything, you have truly made a difference in my life. Email me if you get the chance at rikki@rsx3.com. Thank you again for everything!
Love,
Rikki
